The Great Dictator's Speech

I’m sorry, but I don’t want to be an emperor. That’s not my business. I don’t want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone - if possible - Jew, Gentile - black man - white. We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other’s happiness - not by each other’s misery. We don’t want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone. And the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way.

Greed has poisoned men’s souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost....

The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men - cries out for universal brotherhood - for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world - millions of despairing men, women, and little children - victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people.

To those who can hear me, I say - do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish. .....

Soldiers! don’t give yourselves to brutes - men who despise you - enslave you - who regiment your lives - tell you what to do - what to think and what to feel! Who drill you - diet you - treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder. Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural men - machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts! You don’t hate! Only the unloved hate - the unloved and the unnatural! Soldiers! Don’t fight for slavery! Fight for liberty!

In the 17th Chapter of St Luke it is written: “the Kingdom of God is within man” - not one man nor a group of men, but in all men! In you! You, the people have the power - the power to create machines. The power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure.

Then - in the name of democracy - let us use that power - let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world - a decent world that will give men a chance to work - that will give youth a future and old age a security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power. But they lie! They do not fulfil that promise. They never will!

Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people! Now let us fight to fulfil that promise! Let us fight to free the world - to do away with national barriers - to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men’s happiness. Soldiers! in the name of democracy, let us all unite!

E-HAKIKISHA

E-HAKIKISHA is software designed specifically for students follow up and track system. It is meant to track the ways of the students in terms of academics and discipline welfare by their guardians and parents. The student at various times  are sent back to their respective homes to due to certain issues such as school fees, important referral documents, indiscipline cases but the response from the students is quite questionable since they don’t deliver the message. They end up taking part in dangerous activities such as drug taking, and alcohol abuse yet the intended report is not delivered. These misconducts create a lot of unawareness within the parents and guardians and therefore pose danger to health, mindset or well-being of students and also stressful frustrations among many parents.
We conducted a baseline survey of student monitoring procedures targeting 13-24 year old youths ranging form 1 to form 4 which indicated the trend of secret indiscipline cases and fake examination results are on the rise thus posing danger to students welfare. Students especially from day schools have serious problem when it comes to passing information to their parents. This includes:
  1. Presenting wrong exam results to their parents
  1. Not exposing their truancy levels to their parents like absenteeism
  1. Not giving their newsletter to their parents as required
  1. Not informing their parents of when it they are required to come to school and any other requirements
Students have been avoiding school and engaging in unbecoming behavior without the knowledge of their parents and teachers. This has brought about high level of indulgences in drugs, pre-marital sex and other unbecoming behavior. This has a serious effect in our growing economy in that young people who are supposed to participate effectively in the economic growth are losing direction through this loophole. Day schools especially in the slum areas are really affected because you may find that the child leaves the home going to school but deviates to other destinations like taking part time jobs for their upkeep without the knowledge of the parents
In a school where the catchment is purely in the slum these has been a major challenge and it is clear that what the parents need to know on daily basis about the students does not have a clear way of being transmitted. It is with understanding that E-Hakikisha would not have come at a better time. This is quite realistic with the late Professor Chinua Achebe’s famous say that when birds learnt to fly without perching the hunters learnt to hunt without missing.

 WHY INNOVATION?

Mr. Edwin Maturwe CO-FOUNDER EIS
“I wish my stove came with a Save As button like Word has. That way I could experiment with my cooking and not fear ruining my dinner.”

The objective of ‘Innovation in SMEs’ is to optimise the Research, Development & Innovation environment for SMEs, including through the establishment and facilitation of a range of support services, with the aim of strengthening the innovation capacity of SMEs and creating value on the market and/or into society, thus underpinning the Europe2020 strategy for smart, inclusive and sustainable growth.

The forward thinking approach towards the 21st century is to be enhanced through technological innovations from within our nation. This is where the Kenya Vision 2030 comes unto the panorama in the millennium comprehensive goals, a comprehensive guide to the international community in its effort to eliminate suffering. Innovation is frequently marketed as driver of growth and prerequisite for remaining competitive. However, the process is often risky, especially for small or medium  sized enterprises in search of ways to successfully manage their new products, services or businesses in a systemic and stable manner. That’s why we Eliwin Innovative Solutions pioneer innovations that revolutionize sectors of the economy, passing over a vibrant legacy of innovation to the next generation.

We work with business and individuals to stimulate innovation - the successful exploitation of new ideas - because it drives economic growth.
EIS works independently under Eliwin Education Foundation as a company that prioritizes innovation as the main driver of the economy.

EIS works in partnership with Business, Governments, NGOs  and Individuals to create innovative solutions which satisfies our yearning of why technology exists.

If you are a smaller company or individual with a new technical solution, improvement, or potentially disruptive technology that you are working to commercialize, E. I.S wants to know about it. No fee commitment is required or implied for you to tell us —  in a completely non-confidential way —  about your technology.  Our clients pay fees so that we can find and screen technologies like yours on their behalf.
